John Bowman Makemson (1855-1923) was the second son of Thomas Makemson II. He married Sarah Addie Holmes. (1863-1950) in the year of 1879. John was a farmer and horse trader. My Dad told me that he had seen John farm with eight horses across. No easy fete.
John and Addie are buried at the Colony, Kansas cemetery. Their children were Maude Malita (1880-1953, Harrison R. (1882-1931) and Leroy Gordan (1885-1916). There are other stories about John from Cousin Bonnie Sutterby which will be posted later.
